South Wales Boxer Club Seminar 2009
On the 9th to 11th January,
2009 South Wales Boxer Club held their residential seminar at
the Parkways Hotel, Cwmbran.
The Breed Standard seminar
was delivered on Saturday by Mr Tim Hutchings along with Mr
Philip Greenway's Confirmation & Movement seminar. A joint talk
by both Tim & Philip on the Boxer Head concluded the days
events. On the Sunday Mrs Carol Coode delivered the KC
Accredited Confirmation & Movement seminar & Prof. Steve Dean
provided a very informative talk on All Things Medical, with the
main topic of discussion being the whelping bitch.
In addition, several
question and answer sessions were held with our eminent panel of
experts where many other topics were raised and discussed.
Our charity auction held on
the Saturday evening raised £1,046.50 in aid of Boxer Rescue & a
Multiple Sclerosis charity chosen by Sharon Todd. Some of the
more notable items sold was a signed copy of Ivor Ward-Davies'
book Boxers - An Owners Companion for £70. A watercolour by Mrs
Lynne Llewelyn-Davies went for £140. And, an original
publication of Frau Stockmans My Life With Boxers was sold for
£50.
